Aha. I had the same question. Turns out. You need to get the SOURCE distribution of TOMCAT and build mod_jk.so. The distribution includes instructions on building the component separately if you already have a binary version of TOMCAT installed. If you like I can send you a pointer to the module I built. It was compiled on RH7. Let me know.
