As I understand it, Tomcat looks in your webapps WEB-INF/classes directory.

If you are using .jar files, they should be in WEB-INF/lib.  If you are
using .zip's, rename them to .jar.

You can also try setting the classpath in the startup script.

can anyone tell me where tomcat searches for user classes. I am using both
servlets and JSP pages but Tomcat cannot consistantly find the class files.
This is bizarre!!! Any thoughts!
