Tomcat 5.0.6 logging to console

How do I get my app logging to a console on Tomcat 5.0.6 (Windows 2000)
binary install. Setting swallowOutput="true" or �false� for the app context
seems to make no difference when starting Tomcat using the windows menus
that tomcat added. Do I have to start Tomcat another way ?
