I'm using the basic authentication scheme, 'cause I couldn't ever make the user type work. My pages just sat there and looped. But I'm running into a performance problem. I have dozens of .gif files and other things that get loaded with my page and it looks like it is authenticating each of them and taking a bunch of time doing it. THis is from one of the log files. I don't have the option of cutting down the number of crappy files (gifs etc.) I have to load. 8(
This block is repeated dozens of times. Is there any way I can avoid all this checking for inconsequental files?
