Satya , I'm just passing on that at least some versions of javac were alleged to have memory leaks. If that is the problem, the version of Tomcat wouldn't matter. I don't really know much about this issue, I was just passing on some info I thought might be helpful. If you are sure you are putting the pre-compiled class files in the right place, then the issue I brought up is not your problem.
