We will soon (with some RPMeers both RH and MDK) a project to package the
majority of Java Projects around. Including Apache and some native related like
mod_jk.

The situation is simple. With java stuff we're in a noarch situation, ie you
only need a valid JDK for Mandrake, Suse or Redhat.

For native part, Mandrake and Redhat have choosed differents ways and at least
MDK is very aggresive in optimisations and compilers. But the side effect is
that Redhat build RPMs will not works on Mandrake and vice-versa.
That's why we will start the initiative very soon.

The begining of the project will be announced at : http://rpmized.free.fr/
It will the stuff allready present at : ftp://ftp.falsehope.com/home/gomez/
and many others build by experienced Mandrake RPMeer.
We're seeking for Suse specialist and also be glad to see some Debian RPMeer
 entering the Arena.

We're also searching for bandwidth and storage. If some of you could provide
that, it will help us.......

Regards

Unix is like a tipi -- no Gates, no Windows, and an Apache inside.
