I uninstalled and reinstalled tomcat still experiencing the
same flickering window error.

While installing tomcat during the JVM path selection the
default path listed was

"C:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.1.7"

I changed that path name to

"C:\Program Files\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.4.2"

Til now , I didnt try to create any path for JAVA_HOME AND
CATALINA_HOME, do i have to do that?

Your help is most appreciated..
