memory realm

Can anyone provide me with a list of all the steps needed to configure
tomcat5 in order to use the memory realm. It doesn't have to be
detailed, I just need to know about all the configuration steps that
need to be done. I have tried using the tomcat documentation, but I must
be missing something since I cannot get it to work.
