Broken Pipe and Tomcat 4.1.24 -- Fixed?

I'm using Tomcat 4.1.24 and I'm still getting broken pipe stack traces 
in my catalina log.

This ultimately forces a Out of Memory error.  Are we certain that this 
problem was resolved with 4.1.24?
