Hi What are the steps for installing tomcat 5 on Linux
I have don ethese Installed JDK untared everything from the Tomcat5 installation file to a tomcat5 directory set the JAVA_HOME and CATALINA_HOME when i give the command sh $CATALINA_HOME/bin/startup.sh the following messages getting Using CATALINA_BASE: /var/tomcat5 Using CATALINA_HOME: /var/tomcat5 Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /var/tomcat5/temp Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_03 but http://siteaddress:8080 is not giving the homepage what could be the problem?
