To follow up on this, Since I've set "debug=4" in my server.xml, should there not be some error messages in my CATALINA_HOME/logs/log_localhost*? I don't get any message other than "INFO:*" lines in it.
Is there a way to have a similar utility to log errors like Apache's error_log?
