Howdy, I'm using it in production, no issues. But then again I steer clear of the practices that tend to cause issues frequently: I don't redeploy my apps in production (when I ship a new version I do so during our maintenance window and restart the server), I profile and test carefully for memory leaks, I don't use apache in front of tomcat, I do use a security manager, I do deploy and run only packed WARs, nothing reloadable or auto-deployed...
