Note that: - The DevX article writer would have done well to tell people about the Ant tasks tomcat supplies in order to deploy/undeploy/restart webapps, instead of encouraging people to write their own (possibly buggy, likely incompatible with future tomcat versions) tasks. - The article was written prior to the release of tomcat 5 stable, which contains behavioral changes in this area.
