Hi, One alternative to balancing traffic without Apache, using only a tomcat cluster, is to use the balancer webapp that ships with tomcat 5. It's not a load balancer in the strict sense of the definition, as it doesn't replicate anything or allow for sticky sessions, but defacto it works.
