Hi, >I would prefer a solution that the applications always uses a context >path="/abc" but the user just can enter an URL: http://localhost:8080
In the ROOT webapp, add one of the following: - An index.html file that redirects to /abc - A servlet filter (url-mapping /*) that redirects to /abc (+ the rest of the URI if you'd like). You can look at the balancer webapp that ships with tomcat 5 for more complicated forwarding as well. - Apache in front with mod_rewrite configured to do your forwarding.
