Hi all, I have a question. When tomcat starts , I have a loadonstartup servlet which creates new thread and this thread will not die. Now the question is when I shut down tomcat , I want this thread to die . I want to know how tomcat notifies its sub processes about the shut down. Currently because of the thread which active the shut down process takes a longer time . And sometimes I gget Thread death exception in my logs. I want to prevent it . Any help in this issue would be grateful
