In a similar vein, I get the following littering the stdout.log

14-Apr-2004 13:25:03 org.apache.jk.server.JkCoyoteHandler action
INFO: Response already commited
14-Apr-2004 13:25:07 org.apache.jk.common.HandlerRequest decodeRequest

I would also be interested in getting rid of all this logging.

Cheers, ADC

Subject: TC 5.0.19 logs get cluttered in high performance scenarios

I know this perhaps is a connector issue but nevertheless I give it a
shoot hoping some of the Tomcat savvy might be able to help me out.

I have recently upgraded from TC 4.1.27 to 5.0.19. In both cases it is
being integrated with IIS running on Win2K and Suns JDK1.4.2_03 using JK2. The
hardware is a 4-way P3 XEON with 4GB ram installed.

After the upgrade Tomcat still performs pretty neet but at some point when requests
per sec. are beyond approxemately 25 the stdout.log and jk2.log gets cluttered. The TC
installation very as simple as I have followed some of the onlige guides: config files
are thus default and theres no
clustering/load balancing.

The stdout.log gets filled with this:

14-04-2004 13:12:25 org.apache.jk.common.HandlerRequest invoke
INFO: Unknown message 0
14-04-2004 13:12:26 org.apache.jk.common.HandlerRequest decodeRequest
WARNING: Error registering request

whereas the jk2.log gets filled with this:

[Wed Apr 14 13:12:25 2004] (error ) [jk_service_iis.c (157)]
jk_ws_service_t::head, ServerSupportFunction failed
[Wed Apr 14 13:12:25 2004] (error ) [jk_handler_response.c (178)]
handler.response() Error sending response[Wed Apr 14 13:12:25 2004] (error )
[jk_worker_ajp13.c (416)]  ajp13.service() ajpGetReply recoverable error 3
[Wed Apr 14 13:12:25 2004] (error ) [jk_worker_ajp13.c (512)]
ajp13.service() Error  forwarding ajp13:localhost:8009 1 0

I have googled and searched the archives for these messages and the first seems to be
related to JMX and (perhaps) a memory bug in TC 5.0.19 in this thread
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg121645.html . Can someone confirm
this and perhaps give a status as I cant find a
definitive answer?
As to the messages in the jk2.log I am completely blank as to what they
mean :-( This post http://www.junlu.com/msg/7409.html indicates it could
be due to the "high" load but no final answer or solution is given.
Also I am uncertain as to whether they are related or independent,
although the time at which they appear in the logs strongly suggest they
are related.

The strange (at least for me...) thing is that TC 5.0.19 has now run for
about a week without any hickups besides the above mentioned - memory
usage and response time remains stable and I have recieved no complaints
whatsoever regarding avalibity of the systems hosed by the TC machine.

For those who have read this far: Thank you - and should you wonder what I am looking
for I would like to know:
i) whether the messages indeed are critical
ii) what I cant do prevent them from occuring (fix my TC???)

Regards Thomas
