Which build of Tomcat 4.0 are you running? There have been significant
changes in recent nightly builds. What OS and JDK versions?
Do the standard example JSP pages operate correctly?
Have you modified the Tomcat startup scripts? Or the layout of where
JAR files are installed in the standard installation?
What kinds of classes are you having problems with? Where did you try
to put them? Application bean classes should go in the WEB-INF/classes
directory of your web application, or packaged in JAR files underneath
WEB -INF/lib.
What error messages and stack traces are you getting?
Can you create a small reproducible test case?
