AFAIK, jk2 doesn't require http2. The problem is that http2 comes with APR, as apache 1.3 don't use it, so you have to make it available.

short answer:

It's possible to use Apache 1.x w/ Tomcat 4.x.


long answer:

Tomcat-Apache interaction is handled by connectors, aka jk and jk2.
These are Apache plugins/DSOs/modules/etc.  Both jk and jk2 can talk to
either of Tomcat 4 or Tomcat 5.

I believe JK2 requires Apache2 but I may be wrong on that, so don't
quote me.

Search the Apache site for details.
