Hi Graeme,

You need to install gcc.

Hi all, when I try this command: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs

I get the following output. How can I sort out this C compiler?

[EMAIL PROTECTED] native]# ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for style of include used by make... GNU checking for gcc... no checking for cc... no checking for cc... no checking for cl... no configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH See `config.log' for more details. Maybe you need to cd to the $CONN_SRC_HOME/jk/native directory first?
Then do the ./buildconf.sh command locally within that directory?

Evening all, I'm trying to connect Tomcat and Apache, I've been

following this tutorial:
http://www.meritonlinesystems.com/docs/apache_tomcat_redhat.html

In order to run the buildconf.sh I installed libtool, httpd-devel,

autoconf and automake because I found on a site that redhat 9 users need
httpd-devel, the rest are dependencies.

After I installed all of this and tried to run the buildconf.sh script I

got this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# $CONN_SRC_HOME/jk/native/buildconf.sh
libtoolize --force --automake --copy
libtoolize: `configure.ac' does not exist
Try `libtoolize --help' for more information.
aclocal
aclocal: `configure.ac' or `configure.in' is required
automake -a --foreign -i --copy
automake: `configure.ac' or `configure.in' is required
autoconf
autoconf: no input file
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]#

How do I sort this out? I'm a bit lost :(

Cheers in advance,

Graeme :)
