I am having some problems with tomcat and apache. I keep experiencing problems like apache all of a sudden not serving https to tomcat pages via mod_jk2 . I have been forced to restart my production servers (restart processes) a few times this week in order to fix these issues. Here is what I get in my apache error logs.
