I wanted to use it as a filter rather then having to call it in each jsp since people can get to almost every page in the sillyApe directory without going through a single page, just thought it would be easier, as well as other issues. Anyway I am trying to figure out why I get a SEVERE: Error filterStart from Tomcat when I start it back up.
