Tomcat is a Java application like any other so you can change the max heap size
the same as you would for anything else.

For the Sun JDK 1.3 (and probably 1.2) all you have to do is run it like:

    java -Xmx128M some.class.to.Run

Just replace the "128M" with the maximum heap size. Type "java -X" for more
information.

Tomcat is typically started through a script - tomcat.bat or tomcat.sh. To pass
the "-Xmx" argument through, all you need to do is set the environment variable
TOMCAT_OPTS to "-Xmx128M" or whatever you need. Alternatively you could edit
the scripts directly.

Hope that's answered the question okay.

Cheerio, Woody.
