Well, I downloaded and unzipped the zip version and ran service.bat. I got a popup error: "Overlapped I/O Operation is in progress; NonAlpha 46" I've been a programmer for many years and have seen many cryptic error messages, but this one ranks right on up there. Found a ref to it on a Microsoft site where it saying something about a 3rd party backup program that needs to be removed... (???).
I can remove and install 5.0 as a service using service.bat with no problems. But it fails miserably with 5.5.7. Any suggestions? Anybody seen this message before? Thanks. Download the Zip file distribution of 5.5 instead and use service.bat to install a service with a different name, personally I always do it that way anyway.
