Hello,
I have installed java 1.5.0_04 and tomcat 5.5.9 on Fedora FC4 64 bit
machine and followed, I thought, the instructions on http://
jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.5-doc/logging.html.
Yet I get:
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger
(org.apache.catalina.startup.ClassLoaderFactory).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
in catalina.out. And no log file otherwise.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Excerpts of setup:
ls /opt/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/common/classes:
log4j.properties logging.properties
ls /opt/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/common/lib:
log4j-1.2.11.jar
And /opt/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/common/classes/log4j.properties is
