I've been trying to get the JavaWorld example located at http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-03-2005/jw-0307-captcha.html
On tomcat v5.5.9 (JDK 1.5) on Linux without any luck. It goes through the authentication process and reports it's assigned the anonymous principle but when I go to access the protected directory again it prompts for the login.jsp page again.
