Hello, I'm trying to get my passwords digested, and I think I'm nearly there. I ran the command line utility to calculate a digested password and then put it in an existing user's record using MySQL Query Browser. I then logged in as that user and everything was fine. So, Tomcat is authenticating with digested passwords just great.
The problem is that when I add a new user through the web app, it errors out with this message: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/catalina/realm/RealmBase when I try to calc the digested version of the password prior to storing the new user to the database. I suspect it's a classpath issue but I'm not sure what to do. The class compiles fine in Eclipse. I added $CATALINA_HOME/server/lib/catalina.jar to my classpath in Eclipse. Do I need to do something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
