i've had problems getting the jsdk to run on linux in the past, i'd suggest using the source avail. from blackdown.org as well.

a quick remedy might be to see if you infact have libX11.so.6
    #locate libX11.so.6
if that fails then it's probably an 'X' issue, if not make sure the path that the Makefile checks is correct.
