JDBCRealm Error?

What does the following mean? I'm trying to implement a postgresql
database with servlets and have modified servlet.xml accordingly. This
message comes up when I try to run the jsp example, snoop.

$ $ 2001-04-09 12:24:02 - ContextManager: JDBCRealm: Authentication
unsuccessful for user null
