HELP WITH MOD_JK !

Hi!     I'm new to Tomcat and have just finished configuring this one Stand Alone. To enhance its perfomance, now I want to make it work together with the Apache. I read that i have to change server.xml from Tomcat and httpd.conf from Apache, but there is also a part about a "web server adapter", a module called mod_jk, that i must have (but don't know where) and i have to compile it or something.     Could anybody throw me a hint about this topic? How do i do it and with what tools?
