The error appears to come from apache.
No message is printed to any tomcat logs.
In httpd/logs/access_log I get this:
127.0.0.1 - - [24/Apr/2001:17:42:42 -0700] "GET
/examples/servlet/HelloWorldExample HTTP/1.0" 403 298
