absolute pathing from context?

Hi all -

  I don't understand how I should be linking from within my
webapp.  Perhaps this is simply stated somewhere, sorry but I've 
done my best to find it.

  For example, I'd like to be able to do this:

  from within my context app -- webapp:

  ....tomcat/webapps/myapp/

  I'd like to link to /images

I was hoping tomcat or something would be smart enough to 
get from tomcat/webapps/myapp/images


Any suggestions on doing this?
