I installed Tomcat on Windows 2000 Server last weekend. I received that
error when trying to start up Tomcat as a service.
I ran sysedit and added these lines to my autoexec.bat. You might be able
to make these system variables (Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Env
Variables). Does anyone know the difference between the variables I set in
my autoexec.bat file and the Environment Variables? When I type "set" from
the cmd line I see all of the variables (system, user, and autoexec.bat).
Also, I am having problems getting NT4 to load Tomcat as a service at all
(Yes, JDK 1.3). Has anyone written up anything on that
set TOMCAT_HOME=C:\java\jakarta-tomcat-3.2.1
set JAVA_HOME=C:\java\jdk1.3
