newbie question

hi all!    i am new with tomcat...    having installed tomcat 3.2.2 and apache 1.3.11 on my NT 4.0...    how will i come to know whether my apache and tomcat are communicating or not....or rather what should i do    to access tomcat from apacge(or vice-versa)... plz. help.   Sumit Ranjan
