I have now had a long (2-3 hour), trouble-free Tomcat testing session with ZoneAlarm simply shutdown. While not ideal, this is not too painful, and means that you don't need to uninstall ZoneAlarm. I am not sure whether you can simply restart ZoneAlarm; I could not get the services it uses running last time I tried. At worst, you will need to restart Windows to feel safe.
