JSP & DataBases: Types

Hi!

I'm trying to connect a DataBase via JSP.

If I want to display a CHAR() type, I use:

<%= (String) Recordset.getObject("CLASS_NAME") %>

What must I use to display other types?

Where can I find a good online-tutorial in order to learn this instead
of disturbing you?
