Virtual Host

Hi Again,

You have been a great help for my problems. Thanks a lot.

I have one more basic question. If I am providing web hosting service with
one IP address and have several domain names pointing to that one address,
does the virtual hosting setting will map a particular domain name to my ip
address and then to the appropriate directory specified in virtual host
directive.

Suppose that both www.domain.tld and www.otherdomain.tld point at the IP
address 111.22.33.44.

Then simply adding to one of the Apache configuration file(httpd.conf) the
following:

    NameVirtualHost 111.22.33.44

    <VirtualHost 111.22.33.44>
    ServerName www.domain.tld
    DocumentRoot /www/domain
    </VirtualHost>

    <VirtualHost 111.22.33.44>
    ServerName www.otherdomain.tld
    DocumentRoot /www/otherdomain
    </VirtualHost>

So now if I access www.domin.tld from the web will this bring up the
index.html from /www/domain directory? And when I register for
www.domain.tld domain name then I would give them the ip address:
111.22.33.44
