My last posting can be ignored because I finally got
it to work. I don't techincally understand the
problem but it turns out that one of the classes which
was part of the package also imported the package,
probably causing the virtual machine to do some funny
things.

What I do notice as unusual though is that if I rename
the servlet to something else, and reload the page I
get an error. However, if I once again change the
name of the servlet back to its correct original name.
I must restart Tomcat to have the servlet work . Is
this expected?
