The behavior of the default file-serving servlet, like all other built in
servlets for Tomcat 4.0, is controlled by servlet initialization
parameters in the <code>$CATALINA_HOME/conf/web.xml</conf> file that
provides the defaults for all of your web applications.  In particular,
under the "default" servlet, set the "listings" parameter to false if you
do not want directory listings.
