2 Webservers -> 1 Tomcat Engine

I would like to force 2 separate iPlanet 4.1 Web servers to redirect servlet
requests to a Tomcat 3.2.3 servlet engine running on an additional box.  Is
Tomcat capable of keeping session and responding to the correct, requesting
Web server?  Are there any examples out there of how to implement this?  Do
I have to have multiple Tomcat instances or will one be sufficient?  Thanks
