What are your environment variables ... In the tutorial I used too install apache+TC+Webapp I had to set the catalina home in the environment variables ... This variable "fills" the beginning part of the path when a request is made ...
BoD your error message indicates it's using catalina .... Try changing your CATALINA_HOME environment variable ... Restart everything and see if it works as you expect ....
