The tomcat-apache-howto.html document addresses mod_jserv
and mod_jk. It was written, mostly, when mod_jserv was
the more reliable connector. The mod_jk-howto.html document
addresses only mod_jk.

Note that during maintenace releases of Tomcat 3.2.x, these
documents were not updated much beyond fixing links. One
exception is that some information about <ApacheConfig ...>
was inadvertently added to the mod_jk-howto.html document
for Tomcat 3.2.4 which applies only to Tomcat 3.3. In
Tomcat 3.2.x for mod_jk, a conf/mod_jk.conf-auto file is
written every time Tomcat 3.2.x is started and control of
this file is not configurable.

As for adding an Ajp13 connector to the Tomcat 3.2.x, the
mod_jk-howto.html#s9 appears to be accurate.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Larry
