The error line is accurate. The JIT in jdk1.2.2 has a known (and unlikely to be fixed) bug which is triggered by crimson.jar. You can either upgrade to jdk1.3 or later, or replace crimson.jar (along with xalan.jar) with earlier versions that don't trigger the JIT bug. I would recommend upgrading the JDK.
