Gurmeet, By default (on Tomcat 4 anyway) there are two services that start - Tomcat Standalone and Apache Tomcat. You control these from server.xml in the Tomcat/conf directory.
If one of these is not coming up, it could be because you've broken it with your SSL installation. If it's not the one you're using, you won't notice much. Check out the latest log files in Tomcat/logs and see if there are any exceptions. Whilst it may not be causing you problems now, I'd want to understand what was going on - you may get problems when you deploy.
