I am running tomcat 4.0.3 on Linux.  

I am trying to use the manager app to install from a remote war -
with little success.  

I can get it to work fine with war=file: and war=jar:file: type
installations (local directory and .war installations) so I think
that I am getting the syntax correct.  

Furthermore, I can "see" the .war file when I cut and paste the
war=jar:http:  url to a browser (removing the trailing !/ of course).

So ... Has anyone out there verified that this feature does in fact
work as documented?
