You can't just add your oracle dirver to the system classpath and expect tomcat to pick it up for availability to your webapps. You need to put the oracle driver either in your webapp's WEB-INF/lib directory or in the Tomcat/lib directory (for accessibility to all webapps).
BTW, I'm not sure tomcat will pick up a .zip file. You might want to rename it to .jar. Not sure if that is necessary, but you can test and see.
