I am about to attempt to install Tomcat 4 (TC4) on Debian Woody,
not Debian Potato, which, by now, is quite old and may not have the
libraries necessary to support TC4 (you may have to upgrade to Woody). I am
still trying to upgrade from Potato to Woody, however, and will not be able
to install TC4 until sometime next week at the earliest. I have been using
Linux since 1997, and am nevertheless amazed at the amount of time that I
have been forced to invest in order to learn Debian's package management
tools. When, and IF, I am able to install TC4, I'll try to remember to post
to this list.
