Thats a very good point. Also, look for any other old set of classes which Tomcat is picking up. Which may mean JNDI related classes too. I dont know if this would work but, change the time stamp's of all tomcat related .xml files by making a small change like adding a space, pressing enter etc and see if it makes any difference.

If not, it's most likely a typo someplace.
