For some reason my servlet init() methods are not be called by Tomcat 4.03 when it starts?
I am looking into the 2.3 servlet specifications and have tried some other init methods but all are returning the same results. Not really sure what is going wrong. The logs do not point to anything, or say anything. I am upgrading from Tomcat 3.2.4 to 4.03. 3.2.4 does not have a problem calling the init method but 4.03 does. What am I doing wrong? I am pretty sure my web.xml file and al configs are correct. I am pretty sure that the init() method is included and used properly in my servlets. Why that method is not being triggered is beyond me.
