I tried to download the attached files, but something fails (I download a file called showattachment).

I think Remy's fix was a new jasper-compiler.jar which he attached. You can try the jar file that Remy attached to the PR at http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12387 it might help. But I would back up your current jar before trying it. YMMV.
